Now that Spring is officially here and Summer is right around the corner, Tanner and I are spending the next few weeks on maintenance items. That way we can fully enjoy the beautiful Seattle Summer that we deserve! I put together a seasonal maintenance checklist and would like to share it with you! Tanner and I have found it to be a very helpful resource. I hope you do, as well!

Test smoke alarms, carbon monoxide detectors, fire extinguishers, and all ground-fault circuit interrupters.
Clean or replace furnace filters, ventilation filters, humidifier filters, and range hood filters.
Inspect electrical cords for wear.
Vacuum heat registers and cold air returns.
Check that indoor and outdoor air vents are not blocked or damaged.
Have furnace serviced and clean air ducts.
Check crawlspace for unusual odors, standing water, insulation falling down, or disconnected ductwork
Prune trees and shrubs, particularly those near siding, roof and power lines. Soil should be at least 3 inches below siding to deter pests and moisture.
De-moss roof
Check deck, balconies, railings, and exterior stairs for rot or damage. Stain/paint as needed.
