I can guarantee one thing: you’ve never met anyone who works harder than Rebekah Jaramillo. Your Gatewood neighbor Rebekah wears many hats: jewelry designer, business owner, graphic designer, Costco employee of 15 years, mom to Luka, and wife to Dan, among great friend (to me!) and community member. Rebekah owns and operates Rebekah J. Designs, an incredibly inspired and breathtaking collection of jewelry. From her college days majoring in jewelry design at UW, to creating the Luka Line, AWA Collection, Fragment Collection, and recently launched Bridges Collection.
Her necklaces, rings, bracelets and earrings tell a story and are a true expression of her full life. She crafts her pieces out of brass, and recently released some of her best sellers in sterling silver and 14K gold fill. I personally own many pieces, and always feel empowered and strong when I wear them - a symbol of the passion she puts into her work. A true expression of handmade, Rebekah crafts each piece in her home studio in Gatewood, surrounded by her family.
Rebekah is also all about bringing people together and supporting her local community of creatives. After noticing that West Seattle residents were missing out on a local holiday market similar to the pop up fairs you see all season long around the city, she decided to create her own. Bringing together locals like Seattle Candle Company and Sage to Sea Designs, they’ve collectively launched the West Seattle Winter Night Market. Mark your calendars for Friday December 14th from 5-9pm at SPRUCE (4156 California Ave SW) to meet some neighbors, sip some vino, and meet Rebekah in person to hold, feel and try her wares. Visit RebekahJDesigns.com to see her work, or @rebekahjdesigns on Instagram to keep up with her whereabouts this holiday season!
