Never met Tara before? Spoiler alert - she’s not like other realtors.
If you’ve had experiences with other realtors, or never met anyone in the real estate business before, you’re in for a treat. Here’s a little more about what you can expect from your first rendezvous with Tara:
Arriving in her Prius or Subaru (depending on the day) filled with snacks and beverages, emergency kit and tools. Visiting houses is exhausting and she is prepared for anything...including low blood sugar and toilet paper shortages.
Wearing her real estate uniform of jeans/T-shirt/clogs OR jeans/grandma sweater/rain boots. A dress and heels just isn’t practical.
Her ringer will be on silent, because the person she is with is the most important person in that moment. Unless your child or pet is with you...and then you will be the second most important.
She is quick to point out “an issue”. She will point out positive things, too - about the house you are looking at, or the offer you are writing, or the amazing kitchen remodel that you did. However, she is a real estate consultant, meaning that to benefit her clients, she has to often play devils advocate. She does everything she can to make sure the only surprises clients get are the good kind.
Asking a lot of questions....A LOT. She is not trying to be invasive, she just needs to know YOU and how you live in order to serve as a good real estate consultant. It won’t be weird if you say “I don’t want to talk about that”. She thinks direct people are awesome.
